Stoicism is incredibly unique as it is the first Exotic Class Item for Titans to be added to Destiny 2. Alongside its Warlock and Hunter counterparts, Stoicism comes with the ability to ‘steal’ exotic traits from other exotics, making it the first exotic ever to roll with random exotic traits.

How to get Stoicism
To get Stoicism (or any other exotic class item), you must first complete the Dual Destiny mission in the Pale Heart destination. 🚨Unless you farm it during Festival of the Lost!
Festival of the Lost 2024
In a completely unexpected move, you can now unlock the coveted Exotic Class Items without having to complete Duality by participating in the Festival of the Lost. All you need is 2,500 Candy and 1 Eerie Engram, both of which can be farmed by wearing a mask and completing activities.
Dual Destiny Mission
This mission forces you to be in a fireteam of two (going in solo or as a trio will not work), and it’s the only way to obtain your first class item. Finding a friend or teammate on LFG for one run isn’t too hard, nor does it require you to enter a voice chat.
After obtaining your first Stoicism from Dual Destiny, additional exotic class items can be farmed in various ways.
1 – Weekly Dual Destiny: Replaying the activity will grant another class item each run. Additionally, a weekly challenge (viewable from the Pale Heart map) will grant an additional class item once per week, giving you two for your first run each reset.
2 – Overthrow Chests: The second method of farming Stoicism is participating in Overthrow in the Pale Heart. While generic world chests don’t contribute to it, opening Overthrow chests grants an increasing probability of receiving a class item, granting more with higher chest tiers.
3 – Buy it from Xur: The final way of obtaining Exotic class items was added with Update 8.5.0.2. Xur now (sometimes) sells randomly rolled exotic class items for 41 Strange Coins each. You can purchase as many class items as you’d like, assuming you have the Strange Coins.
🚨 The only requirement is to have unlocked the regular acquisition path through the Dual Destiny mission for each character/class.
How good is Stoicism
The value of Stoicism depends on how good Prismatic Titan is as this exotic is only available on the Prismatic Subclass. On top of this, whether you use this exotic or not depends on the rolls you get.
However, when everything aligns and you have the roll you want, Stoicism is a great pick for Titans looking to spice up their Prismatic builds and bring an extra level to their favorite setups.

Some of the Best Rolls for Stoicism
Spirit of Inmost Light and Spirit of SynthocepsCombining the ability-regenerating capabilities of Heart of Inmost Light with the raw damage of Synthoceps means you can take Titan to the next level. The most popular Titan build currently is the combination of Consecration, Knockout, and Frenzied Blade, allowing you to get 3 Consecration slams.
If you use Spirit of Inmost Light, you can boost your ability regeneration, allowing you to have a melee charge ready to go more often while also boosting your damage with Synthoceps.
Spirit of the Assassin and Spirit of Synthoceps
This combo is the more survivable version of Spirit of Inmost Light and Synthoceps. The invisibility from Assassin will activate on Consecration slams, allowing you to get away safely after slamming down with your Solar attack.
Synthoceps is again present as a damage-boosting source, allowing you to take down some tankier targets.
Spirit of the Bear and Spirit of Verity
This combo wants to focus on the Unbreakable Aspect, utilizing the bonus damage from Verity combined with the super regeneration properties of Bear. This combo allows you to chunk a target after using your Unbreakable Grenade while also regenerating super energy constantly.
Pair this with a Void Demolitionist weapon and Grenade-regenerating mods, and you will have a loop that is incredibly satisfying and fun to do, all while holding the frontline with your Unbreakable shield.
