Destiny 2 is all about chasing the latest and greatest loot. And for that reason, you can expect Bungie to release exciting new armor sets every Season.
Season of Defiance (alongside Lightfall) will not be any different. So far, one Legendary armor set and 3 Exotic armor pieces have been revealed, but you can be certain more sets will be available at launch, including armor sets from the raid, special events, and more.
Lightfall and Season of Defiance Armor Sets
These are all the new Legendary armor sets that were released with Lightfall and Season of Defiance.
Neomuna set: Thunderhead armor set
How to get it: This armor set can be acquired by exploring Neomuna and earning ranks with Nimbus.
Season 20 set: Unyielding armor set
How to get it: This armor set can be acquired by focusing Seasonal engrams and completing seasonal activities.
Season 20 Ornament: Techeun’s Regalia Ornaments
How to get it: These ornaments can be acquired by unlocking the paid track of the Season Pass.
Eververse set: Future Noir Ornaments

How to get it: These armor sets can be found in the Eververse store, and you can either purchase them immediately with Silver (real money) or with Bright Dust (in-game currency) if you can wait a few weeks.
Raid set: Root of Nightmares armor set

How to get it: This armor set can be acquired by running the new raid.
Special events
Finally, several special events will occur throughout the year and they will include a brand-new armor set for each class. There are four events in Destiny 2 in any given year: The Dawning for Christmas, Festival of the Lost for Halloween, Guardian Games, and Solstice of Heroes.
