How good is Whatchamacallit
One of the newest and smallest sub-archetypes, aggressive burst SMGs are rather strong despite their slightly slower rate of fire. Despite Whatchamacallit’s smaller perk pool, its Arc flavor grants it access to perks like Gear Shift and Jolting Feedback, and with Headseeker being in column 3, you can tack on a damage perk and really make those crits hurt! Whatchamacallit is S-Tier for PvE and A-tier for PvP.

- Perk 1: Headseeker, Keep Away, Light Touch, Enlightened Action, Collective Pugilism, Stats for All
- Perk 2: Jolting Feedback, Gear Shift, Sword Logic, Frenzy, Rangefinder, Dragonfly.
- Origin Trait: Problem Solver, Vanguard Determination, Hakke Breach Armaments, Accelerated Assault (special drops only, replaces Hakke Breach Armaments).

Fluted Barrel and Flared Magwell are going to do you wonders here as the base stats for stability, handling, and reload speed are quite low, so best to bump them up as much as possible.
Perk 1 doesn’t have a lot of PvE options, but what it does have is Light Touch, a perk that buffs handling, reload, and ADS speed just for having radiant, amplified, or Devour. As these are very popular buffs to have, this will pretty much always be active or will be easy to activate should it drop. As for Perk 2, Jolting Feedback or Gear Shift also reward being amplified, making this an excellent Arc synergy weapon for any class.

As this is a burst weapon, recoil direction matters a bit more, so Arrowhead Break is going to be our barrel pick, while Accurized Rounds will help us in the range department.
Perk 1 offers two excellent choices: Headseeker or Keep Away. Keep Away can push out the range a bit more, but Headseeker helps mitigate missed crits. Perk 2 also has two excellent choices in either Rangefinder or Gear Shift, and much like Perk 1, the choice is either more range or more damage, but either is a serviceable choice.

Whatchamacallit can drop from participating in the Pinnacle Ops playlist. You can also attune to it to increase your chances of obtaining it when farming the playlist.
