How good is Folded Root
Folded Root is an Aggressive Void Rocket Launcher, which is generally the strongest kind of rocket for damage. While Folded Root may not be a traditional DPS option, having high damage is always a good thing. Folded Root is essentially the Void version of Braytech Osprey, offering similar perks like Cluster Bomb and Bipod, as well as other options such as Air Trigger, Chain Reaction, and Multikill Clip (which obviously is not good).
While this rocket may be one of the best for clearing minors and elites, it suffers from not having any damage options, which is the primary use of Rocket Launchers right now. Considering how other Aggressive Rockets, like Hezen Vengeance, have both damage and ad-clear options, it’s hard to sincerely recommend Folded Root. Folded Root is B-Tier for PvE and D-tier for PvP.

- Perk 1: Cluster Bomb, Lead From Light, Danger Zone, Air Trigger, Ambitious Assassin, and Reverberation.
- Perk 2: Multikill Clip, Destabilizing Rounds, Lasting Impression, Chain Reaction, Bipod, and Frenzy.
- Origin Trait: Tenacity.

For our barrel, we are opting for Quick Launch in order to improve how the weapon generally feels to use. Alloy Casing is our choice for the magazine slot as it drastically boosts our Reload Speed, and with a Reload Speed Masterwork, we are able to reach 100 Reload Speed, dropping the reload time to 2.61s.
In perk slot one, we suggest either Cluster Bomb or Air Trigger. Cluster Bomb provides even more AoE to the rocket; meanwhile, Air Trigger boosts our ammo generation and also allows us to ignore the Reload Speed stat entirely, letting us go for any barrel and magazine we want. In the second perk slot, we suggest Bipod or Chain Reaction. Bipod massively boosts our ammo capacity, increasing our add-clear potential, but if you want more splash damage, Chain Reaction can help you out. Both are valid, and you can spec into any combination of these four perks and get away with it.

How to get Folded Root
Folded Root is no longer tied to the Call to Arms event. As Seasonal events are no more, Bungie has provided a permanent method to acquire past Seasonal exclusives: The Tenet of Bravery vendor at the Tower.
