The Ever-Present is arguably the best Grenade Launcher currently in Destiny 2 and slots itself immediately to the top-end of the current meta. It’s combinations that focus heavily on damage, and this god roll shows how to get the best out of this weapon. The Ever-Present offers serviceable perks for PvP, which allows players to switch between the two modes with ease.

The Ever-Present arrives hot for PvE and will fit into any damage-focused loadout. Start with Quick Launch for its increased Velocity and Spike Grenade for its increase in damage.

The main perks are a perfect combination to maximise damage, and that starts with Envious Arsenal. Dealing damage with both equipped weapons will fill The Ever-Present from reserves. This is the perfect perk to focus on damage rotations, as emptying the magazine means switching to other weapons, then returning to The Ever-Present will reward Guardians with a full magazine to continue the onslaught of damage. Elemetal Honing rounds this roll off with the potential to hit a huge 35% damage buff, which lasts 20 seconds, giving plenty of time to unload the magazine for large chunks of damage.

Aggregate Charge is a fantastic swap for Elemental Honing if the fireteam can guarantee debuffs to the target. This provides a 40% damage buff when fully running.

Grenade Launchers are a solid tool in PvP, and The Ever-Present brings its PvE power to PvP with great results.

Focusing on Velocity to get each grenade to its target as fast as possible, start with Quick Launch and pair it with High-Velocity Rounds for an immediate +20 straight off the bat.

Impulse Amplifier adds to the Veloocity focus and maxes out this stat. With the speed of the grenades, opponents will struggle to dodge their barrage, which is ideal for turning the battle in your team’s favor. Finish off with Golden Tricorn, which adds a damage increase per kill, and with 1 stack of Golden Tricorn, any Melee or Grenade kills matching the Strand element of The Ever-Present will grant a massive 50% damage boost for an increased duration. While there is some set-up here, it can help take out grouped up enemies with ease or Guardians in their super.

How to get The Ever-Present
