How good is Burden of Guilt
Burden of Guilt has the potential to be a powerful addition to any Guardian loadout. Easily slotting itself within the current meta, the combination of great perk synergy, solid base stats, and a top-tier frame helps push Burden of Guilt into the conversation as one of the best Fusion Rifles in Destiny 2. Not only that, it is the only Stasis, Adaptive Frame, so it is a must-have weapon for any Guardian to pick up.
Carrying perks for crowd control, dealing large chunks of damage, or locking down areas of a map, Burden of Guilt will see Trials of Osiris with suitors chasing this god roll. The key thing is that it’s even worth picking up a roll for PvE and PvP, as this weapon excels in both arenas. Burden of Guilt is A-Tier for PvE and A-Tier for PvP.

Burden of Guilt PvE god rolls
| PvE Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Arrowhead Brake |
| Battery | Liquid Coils |
| Perk 1 | Envious Arsenal (also good: Ambitious Assassin) |
| Perk 2 | Chill Clip (also good: Controlled Burst) |
| Masterwork | Charge Time |
| Origin Trait | Roar of Battle |
Start with Arrowhead Brake to control Recoil, which will help keep the bolts on target. Complement this with Liquid Coils, which adds extra damage per burst.
The main perks start with Envious Arsenal to pair with Chill Clip. This is to take advantage of Chill Clip freezing tougher enemies to keep them in place, then cycling through other damage-dealing weapons to land back on a fully reloaded Burden of Guilt to unleash more blasts.
Direct hits with Chill Clip cause Slow, which can be effective in crowded areas to help control the adds to make an escape or to allow more time to prepare for the next attack. Keep in mind, this has to be done with the top half of the magazine, which is why Envious Arsenal is so effective, as only the first 4 shots in the base 6-round magazine carry the Chill Clip effect.
Burden of Guilt PvP god rolls
| PvP Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Arrowhead Brake |
| Battery | Projection Fuse |
| Perk 1 | Under Pressure |
| Perk 2 | Closing Time (also good: Kickstart) |
| Masterwork | Range |
| Origin Trait | Fleet Footed |
Fusion Rifles with the right perk set are very effective in the current sandbox, and with the focus on Range, it keeps opponents just out of range of Burden of Guilt’s effective Range, giving it an advantage when coming into engagements.
Under Pressure starts working immediately from spawn due to this weapon not starting with full Special Ammo. This also rings true for the second main perk, Closing Time. This pairing adds Stability, Range, Handling, and accuracy, which are all essential stats when it comes to holding a powerful Fusion Rifle in the Crucible.
Kickstart is a good swap when Guardians wish to be much more aggressive with their Fusion Rifle. The ‘run and gun’ playstyle suited perfectly for this roll, with both versions being effective in all Crucible game modes.
