Diablo 4 Legion Event Timer & Tracker

by | Oct 13, 2023

Want to take your game to the next level? After finishing the campaign, it can be hard to understand what activities are the most rewarding in Diablo 4. Enter Legion events.

Similar to World Bosses, Legion events are timed, challenging, and require a large group to succeed. This guide covers everything you need to know to get the most out of them.

Diablo 4 Legion Event Tracker

Diablo 4’s Legion Events are region-wide events that occur at the same time worldwide. Legion events will throw waves of enemies at you, and if you manage to defeat all the Servants of Hell before time runs out, you will be handsomely rewarded.

How often are Legion events?

Unlike World Bosses, which only spawn & few times per day, Legions events occur several times per day, even more so than Helltides. You can expect a new Legion event to spawn every 25 minutes. The game will explicitly tell you whenever a Gathering Legion is active by adding a marker to your Map. But if you happen to be offline, this Twitter account has you covered.

When is the next Legion event?

Unlike other games that make no effort to alert you when a global event occurs, Diablo 4 will very prominently alert you whenever a Legion event becomes active. All you need to do is open your Map to see exactly where the Legion event is taking place.

Note that as part of the changes made to World activities with Season 2, the time between Legion Events has been reduced from 30 minutes to 25 minutes.

What is a Legion event in Diablo 4?

A Gathering Legion event is a timed event that occurs globally several times per day. These events are short and intense, requiring a large group of players to succeed. However, its rewards are on par, especially if you manage to kill all 3 Servants of Hell before time runs out.

During a Gathering Legion, several waves of enemies will spawn, and the more enemies you manage to kill, the more enemies will continue to spawn. As a timed event, the challenge is to have enough DPS to dispose of all the waves and all three Servants of Hell. The more enemies you defeat, the better the rewards. As the Legion event reaches its final moments, an Overlord will spawn.

Gathering Legion Locations

Legion Events can be seen all throughout Sanctuary. These are the most common Legion locations:

  • Haunted Wreckage, Dry steppes
  • Crusader’s Monument, Hawezar
  • Norgoi Vigil, Hawezar
  • Dilapidated Aqueducts, Kehjistan
  • Kor Dragan, Fractured Peaks
  • Carrownest Ruins, Scosglen

Note that Crusader’s Monument and Kor Dragan can only be seen after completing their respective Strongholds.

Legion Event Rewards: Defeat all Servants of Hell

Legion events reward noticeably more Gold, XP, and Loot than usual, but if you want to win big, you’ll have to defeat all enemies, the final Overseer, and complete the Mastery objectives before time runs out. If you manage to beat the event’s Mastery objective, you can win up to 3 Radiant chests. Legion events will reward you with the usual Rare and Legendary items, but you can also earn unique Legion items, such as cosmetics and mounts.

With Season of Blood (S2) and Update 1.2.0, Legion events are becoming more challenging and rewarding. Legion events will now feature tougher monsters, have a Whisper associated to it, and will grant more XP:

  • Every Legion Event will now have a Whisper objective associated with it.
  • Additional Life scaling for Legion Event monsters has been increased.
  • The experience reward for completing a Legion Event has been increased by 75%.

These buffs, coupled with the massive buffs for Whispers will further cement Legion events as a prime activity when leveling up in Diablo 4.

Also remember that starting Season 2, Legion events will also reward resources to summon an Endgame Boss, in this case, to summon Lord Zir.
