Today, we’ll cover one of the better ones to enter the Vanguard pool: Wicked Sister. Let’s dive into its best rolls, potency in the current sandbox, and its method of obtainability.

How good is Wicked Sister

While the heavy weapon you use in The Crucible doesn’t matter all too much, it’s perhaps the most important weapon slot for PvE. Luckily, Wicked Sister is a great pick for both.

This grenade launcher has just about every perk you’d want for boss damage scenarios. Its only downside is its Strand element, which can make it hard to match Surge mods with your special weapon of choice.

As for The Crucible, heavy grenade launchers don’t really need to contain anything special to succeed. Even so, Wicked Sister has such a large perk pool that you’re bound to find an option that resonates with your specific playstyle. Wicked Sister is S-Tier in PvE and A-Tier in PvP.

Wicked Sister Perks & God Rolls

The Wicked Sister grenade launcher can roll with the following perks:

• Perk 1: Impulse Amplifier, Clown Cartridge, Slice, Envious Arsenal, Field Prep, Unrelenting, Danger Zone, Quickdraw, Auto-Loading Holster, Envious Assassin, Perpetual Motion, Strategist.
• Perk 2: Hatchling, Deconstruct, Explosive Light, Reverberation, Bait and Switch, Vorpal Weapon, Cascade Point, Chain Reaction, High Ground, Demolitionist, Full Court, One for All.
• Origin Trait: Vanguard’s Vindication, Nadir Focus.

We’ll start by focusing on handling, velocity, and a slight increase in damage through Quick Launch, Spike Grenades, and a handling masterwork.

The first main perk is a toss-up between Envious Arsenal and Envious Assassin. If you’re damaging a boss with a slightly longer DPS phase (and have a solid weapon rotation set up), Envious Arsenal is the play; if you’re just looking for a burst damage option instead, choose Envious Assassin.

The final column perk is typically best spent on Bait and Switch, granting a 30% increase in damage. However, if you do end up opting for Envious Assassin for burst damage, Cascade Point is a solid option as well.

Begin by looking for increased handling and velocity; Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, and a handling masterwork will do the trick.

The choice for your first main perk will go to Impulse Amplifier, which simply grants even more bonus velocity. Danger Zone isn’t a bad option either if you’re experiencing trouble with low blast radius, but our final perk should solve that issue.

Speaking of which, our last perk is Reverberation, which maxes out the blast radius stat after obtaining a kill with the weapon.

Wicked Sister is available as a random drop from Vanguard playlist activities. You’re also able to focus it directly through Zavala, requiring just a single Vanguard Engram.
