Veillantif-D is a respectable Rocket Pulse, and is a much-needed Solar addition. Coming with with options that focus on add-clear and sustain, it’s a different offering to options like Mint Retrograde, but is definitely worth grabbing.

How good is Veillantif-D
Veillantif-D is the Solar Rocket Pulse option, and it comes with the perks you’d expect. Heal Clip, Incandescent, and Burning Ambition. With the recent nerf to Rocket Pulses for boss DPS, the value of an option like Veillantif-D rises as Rocket Pulses remain solid add-clear options, and Heal Clip with Incandescent only helps to facilitate that use case.
If you still want to include a Rocket Pulse in your DPS loadout, though, there are some options, with Aggregate Charge making an appearance. However, we would recommend you, firstly, stay away from this archetype for damage, and also use Mint Retrograde instead, as it has better damage perk options. Veillantif-D is A-Tier for PvE and D-tier for PvP.

- Perk 1: Heal Clip, Air Trigger, Blast Disruptor, Perpetual Motion, Slideways, Light Touch, and Sleight of Hand.
- Perk 2: Paracausal Affinity, Aggregate Charge, Incandescent, Desperate Measures, Burning Ambition, Desperado, and Sword Logic.
- Origin Trait: Featherweight or Häkke Breach Armaments.

As per usual, we’ll be going with the classic Quick Launch Flared Magwell combo for our Barrel and Magazine with a Velocity or Handling Masterwork to make the weapon feel as nice as possible.
For perks, we are going for a more generalist option, so Heal Clip and Air Trigger are our main suggestions, but Blast Disruptor is a great option as well, especially if you want to boost your Grenades as much as possible. For perk 2, same premise. Incandescent pairs great with Heal Clip as a Solar duo, but Sword Logic’s raw damage and easy-to-activate conditions make it a strong pick. Aggregate Charge is also viable if you need to use this weapon as a backup damage option.

With a weak archetype for PvP and no redeeming perks, this weapon is not worth chasing to take into the Crucible.
