While new weapons are always entering the Destiny 2 sandbox, keeping an eye out for older picks with refreshed perk pools can be just as exciting.
A prime example of this is Shayura’s Wrath, which just recently received yet another update to its perks. Let’s take a look at its strength, best rolls, and more.

How good is Shayura’s Wrath
While Shayura’s Wrath has never been the strongest pick for PvE, it excels in the same sandbox it comes from—The Crucible.
Using Shayura’s Wrath in a Void build is really the only way to make it viable for PvE. Even then though, the weapon doesn’t feel the best to use due to its relatively low reload speed, making it a clunky but efficient way to complement a Void setup.
That said, Shayura’s Wrath shines a bit brighter in the world of PvP. With a solid selection of perks that nearly all excel in The Crucible, crafting the weapon into a style that suits your preferences is easy. Shayura’s Wrath is B-Tier in PvE and S-Tier in PvP.

Shayura’s Wrath PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Magazine | Flared Magwell |
Perk 1 | Repulsor Brace |
Perk 2 | Destabilizing Rounds |
Masterwork | Reload Speed |
In terms of our PvE roll, we’ll start with Fluted Barrel, Flared Magwell, and a reload speed masterwork to make the weapon more snappy.
Our main perks here are pretty straightforward: Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds. Not only do these pair well with most Void builds, but they also synergize perfectly with one another (Repulsor Brace can trigger from an enemy that becomes Volatile through Destabilizing Rounds).
Shayura’s Wrath PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Hammer-Forged Rifling |
Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
Perk 1 | Dynamic Sway Reduction (also good: Zen Moment) |
Perk 2 | Kill Clip (also good: Tap The Trigger) |
Masterwork | Range |
Our PvP roll begins with Hammer-Forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, and a range masterwork all to extend this weapon’s effective range.
From there, Dynamic Sway Reduction and Zen Moment can both increase stability as you fire the weapon, which is greatly needed since we focused entirely on range otherwise.
Kill Clip is the dominating perk for the final column, reducing the time-to-kill of Shayura’s to a speedy 0.6 seconds. However, if you’re instead looking for even more consistency, Tap The Trigger isn’t a bad option either—the choice between the two is entirely personal preference.
