There are two kinds of wallpapers out there. The ones created by the developer, often using some of the same tools used to create the game itself, and the ones generated by fans.
Both sources can result in amazing images worthy of a top-tier wallpaper, but as most wallpaper sites cover fan art, here we only cover HD and 4K wallpapers created by Bungie.

Best Destiny 2 Wallpaper sources
If the wallpapers we’ve shared so far aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, worry not. There are more than a hundred official wallpapers out there; you just need to know where to look. These are my favorite sources of top-tier Destiny 2 images that can be used as wallpaper:
1. DLC and Season pages
Every major Expansion and Season has a dedicated page on Bungie.net. If you scroll near the bottom of the page, you’ll find a section called Media, with Screenshots, Trailers, and, you guessed it, Wallpapers. You can start with Season of Defiance here.
2. Specific “This Week at Bungie” posts
Every now and then, Bungie will share 4K images to be used as wallpapers on their TWABs. However, it’s impossible to know which TWABs contain wallpapers other than manually opening each and every TWAB out there. We’ve shared some of the best ones from recent TWABs, but always keep your eyes peeled for wallpapers when a new TWAB comes out.
3. Destiny 2’s Press Page
If you’re looking for banging Destiny 2 images and/or screenshots, Bungie’s official Press Room website is perhaps the best source available. A site that is officially dedicated to the Press, you can absolutely visit it and download as many images as you’d like! Be aware that most images have two versions. A normal one and a 4K one. Make sure you click on Download on the 4K version instead of simply right-clicking and then saving the image directly to your hard drive (that will download a smaller and less detailed version of the image).
