Destiny 2 Vantage Point: God Rolls & How to get it

by | Oct 8, 2024

The first adaptive frame pulse rifle to enter the game since Season of the Wish, a lot is resting on Vantage Point for pulse rifle fans. Here, we’ll cover how to obtain the weapon, its place in the current meta, and the rolls you should look out for.

Chapters

How good is Vantage Point

While Vantage Point doesn’t have anything that makes it immediately stand out, it proves to be a competent option in most areas of the game.

In PvE, subclass-focused perks are almost always the desired picks on primary weapons. Vantage Point in particular has Voltshot, making it an especially solid choice for all things Arc. Don’t get us wrong, though—Vantage Point has its fair share of generic damage-based perks as well, making it a great choice for anyone wanting to experiment with a pulse rifle.

As for The Crucible, Vantage Point is pretty run-of-the-mill. While it does have some solid perks here and there, it’s not a must-have, especially for those who typically don’t intend on using a pulse rifle. Vantage Point is A-Tier in PvE and B-Tier in PvP.

Vantage Point PvE god rolls

PvE Roll: All-Around
Barrel Fluted Barrel
Magazine Tactical Mag
Perk 1 Keep Away (also good: Stats for All)
Perk 2 Jolting Feedback (also good: One for All)
Masterwork Handling or Reload Speed

Our god roll will begin with Fluted Barrel and Tactical Mag for a wide range of extra stats, including handling and reload speed. Because this weapon doesn’t have any major stat deficits, the masterwork here is up to you (although we highly recommend either handling or reload speed).

Keep Away is a solid option for your first perk, since it’s typically active in the ranges you’ll be using this weapon. Assuming you’re looking to build into Arc a bit, the new Jolting Feedback is the clear choice for the final column. If you’re instead looking for a more classic, damage-focused roll, the combination of Stats for All and One for All is the play.

Vantage Point PvP god rolls

PvP Roll: All-Around
Barrel Smallbore
Magazine Accurized Rounds or Steady Rounds
Perk 1 Keep Away
Perk 2 Desperado (also good: Headseeker)
Masterwork Stability or Range

To gain a solid split between stability and range, we’ll start with Smallbore, Accurized or Steady Rounds, and either a stability or range masterwork.

Keep Away is the best pick for your first perk, granting a solid sweep of stat bonuses that are all helpful in The Crucible. In contrast, the final perk slot on Vantage Point doesn’t have much for PvP. We recommend either Desperado (general potency) or Headseeker (for consistency), but this weapon isn’t too popular of a pick for The Crucible in general.
