How good is Sovereignty
While snipers at large are still in a strange spot in the meta, Sovereignty has enough going for it to make it a solid option in PvE.
While not every perk in its line-up is a banger, Sovereignty has top-tier options in both columns. If you’re looking for a Void sniper to substitute Embraced Identity, this is the weapon for you.
As for The Crucible, Sovereignty’s lack of Snapshot Sights quickly makes it unusable for many experienced PvP players. That said, Discord can be a strong equivalent, assuming you play into it. As a result, Sovereignty is A-Tier in PvE and B-Tier in PvP.

Magazine | Appended Mag |

Perk 2 | Firing Line or Precision Instrument |
Masterwork | Handling |
Handling is always important for special weapons in PvE, so we’ll begin with Fluted Barrel and a handling masterwork. We’ll opt for Appended Mag in terms of our magazine, which gives a nice bump in ammo that plays into multiple of our perk choices.
Column one of main perks is best used on Enlightened Action, which increases reload speed simply for using the weapon. While it doesn’t compare to the auto-reloading perks currently dominating the meta, it’s a fine substitute for a weapon of this class. For our final perk, Precision Instrument and Firing Line are the two most popular choices, granting a straightforward increase in damage. However, the new Withering Gaze is a great choice for Void builds and general gameplay alike. While the damage bonus it provides is less than other picks (at only 15%), there are a handful of scenarios where it outclasses typical options.

Magazine | Steady Rounds |

Perk 2 | Harmony |
Masterwork | Stability |
We’ll once again start with Fluted Barrel for extra handling, then move to Steady Rounds and a stability masterwork for stability.
Discord is the winner of column one, acting as a budget version of Snapshot Sights. As for the final column, nothing really stands out. However, due to it having an identical activation requirement as Discord, Harmony is your best bet.
