How good is PLUG ONE.1
While fusion rifles typically only find a niche in The Crucible, PLUG ONE.1 does its best to break that mold.
For PvE, we’re mainly looking at either Reservoir Burst or Controlled Burst. While the weapon also offers subclass synergy through Voltshot, opting for a roll that utilizes raw strength for either damage or ad clear is best.
As for The Crucible, we’re primarily searching for consistency perks, of which PLUG ONE.1 has a solid selection. Even though it isn’t the best fusion rifle on the market right now, it’s not a bad substitute for those needing a strong option. PLUG ONE.1 is B-Tier in PvE and A-Tier PvP.

- Perk 1: Under Pressure, Slideways, Lone Wolf, Feeding Frenzy, Reconstruction, Well-Rounded.

PLUG ONE.1 PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Battery | Enhanced Battery |
Perk 1 | Reconstruction |
Perk 2 | Reservoir Burst (also good: Controlled Burst) |
Masterwork | Handling |
We’ll start by seeking a mix of increased handling and magazine size through Fluted Barrel, Enhanced Battery, and a handling masterwork.
Reconstruction is the clear pick for your first main perk, which effectively doubles your magazine size and eliminates the need to ever reload. As for your final perk, it’s a toss-up between Reservoir Burst and Controlled Burst. The former offers solid ad clear and excels in casual content, while the latter is a great pick for single-target damage.
PLUG ONE.1 PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Extended Barrel |
Battery | Projection Fuse |
Perk 1 | Under Pressure |
Perk 2 | Closing Time |
Masterwork | Range or Stability |
We’ll start our PvP roll with Extended Barrel, Projection Fuse, and a range or stability masterwork to allow this weapon to excel at longer distances.
From there, our perk picks are pretty standard. Begin with Under Pressure in the first column, adding some stability and accuracy to most shots you’ll fire. Then, Closing Time (which has the same activation condition as Under Pressure) adds even more range and accuracy, allowing for a consistent kill every time.
How to get PLUG ONE.1
PLUG ONE.1 is one of eight Nightfall weapons featured during Episode: Revenant. Your first copy will need to be obtained from a Nightfall activity itself, while the weapon is featured. After that, PLUG ONE.1 can be purchased at Zavala for a Vanguard Engram and one Nightfall Cipher (Adept).
The fusion rifle can also be purchased on weeks it’s not featured, although for a higher price: five Vanguard Engrams and 25,000 Glimmer. We cover all Nightfall Weapons available in this Episode here.
