About Energy weapons
Energy weapons sit in your Guardian’s Energy slot. Unlike Kinetic weapons, they can deal elemental damage: Either Solar, Arc, or Void damage. Kinetic weapons deal 10% more damage to unshielded enemies; however, Special weapons can tear through enemy shields, as long as you use a matching element.
