The gun with arguably the most fitting name for this expansion, Precipial is looking to take you over the edge. Rocking some top perks for PvE and PvP, this shotgun will work wonders in anyone’s hands. This guide will cover all you need to know about it.

How good is Precipial

Precision frame shotguns are among the most consistent options available. Their oval hip-fire reticle is pretty much 1:1 with a Guardian’s outline when in effective range, so getting most, if not all, of your pellets to hit is far easier. Factor in the high base range and powerful perks, and you’re left with a shotgun to rival the best of the best.

In PvE, slugs are typically the go to because of their high precision damage, and although Precipial rolls with a few good PvE perks, the ammo scarcity on top of the need to get in close to do any damage is not worth the risk. Though, if you so desire, there is a perk combo to keep you in the fight much longer. Precipial is A-Tier for PvE and B-Tier for PvP.

Precipial Perks and God Rolls

The Precipial Void shotgun can roll with the following perks:

• Perk 1: Proximity Power, Lone Wolf, One-Two Punch, Threat Detector, Reconstruction, Repulsor Brace, Moving Target.
• Perk 2: Binary Orbit, Vorpal Weapon, Opening Shot, Slideshot, Swashbuckler, Discord, Destabilizing Rounds.
• Origin Trait: Exhaustive Research.

Precipial PvE god rolls

Since Precipial has pretty good base stats, there is not too much to buff here, so Corkscrew’s +5 to range, stability, and handling is a solid option. Assault Mag has always been great thanks to its fire rate increase, minimal as it may be, and a handling Masterwork helps you stay light on your feet when in combat.

Like most shotguns that roll with it, One-Two Punch is our best choice for Perk 1, especially when paired with Vorpal Weapon. While not as effective in putting down larger targets, the Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds combo is a fun, niche roll if you have a Void build going. And yes, the micro-rocket can proc One-Two Punch.

As is with most pellet shotguns, range is the stat that needs the most love, so Smallbore and Accurized Rounds will be our choices. While Rifled Barrel gives a bit more range, it’s not significant enough to warrant the reduction in handling. Tack on a range Masterwork, and you’re sitting at 6.5m optimal range!

Unfortunately, we won’t be getting the Slideshot + Opening Shot combo here, but what we do have will make up for it. Threat Detector’s handling buff makes getting in and out of the fight much easier, and when paired with Slideshot or Opening Shot, you’ll be able to end said fight before they know it.

How to get Precipial

Precipial is one of six weapons available from the Kepler destination. It can be obtained through secret chests found throughout the space, The Sieve, Time Latch Missions, and all other things Kepler-related.
