The Solar Hush Bow has returned with a whole host of updated perks. Due to this weapon originally being released all the way back in Season 4, Forsaken, it didn’t have many perks. However, it has now come back with some of the newer perks.

How good is Hush
Hush is a Solar Bow, making it a decent but very niche option. Bows aren’t commonly used in general content as their slow, methodical damage is generally not preferred over the faster damage of Hand Cannons or Pulse Rifles. However, due to it being Solar, this weapon can be used to extend Restoration and Radiant effects with Ember of Empyrean, making it a good Bow compared to the competition.
Archer’s Gambit is the trademark perk on Hush, and it is an incredibly fun and powerful perk as it drastically decreases the draw time required on the bow, making general add-clear much easier. However, if you are looking to use a Bow to clear adds, some Exotic options may be better.
Overall, Hush suffers because it is a Bow but gains some strength from its trademark perk and favorable Solar element.

Bowstring | High Tension String |
Arrow | Compact Arrow Shaft |
Perk 1 | Archer’s Tempo |
Perk 2 | Archer’s Gambit or Incandescent |
Masterwork | Reload Speed |
On Hush, the main goals are to improve the Reload Speed and Accuracy as due to the Draw Speed benefits provided by Archer’s Tempo and Gambit, the main limiting timer is Reload Speed. On top of this, Archer’s Gambit requires hip-fire shots, meaning a bump to Accuracy is always welcome (and also other stats are rather unimportant on Bows)
Archer’s Tempo is the clear pick for perk slot one, but perk slot 2 has some more competition as Incandescent and Archer’s Gambit are both brilliant options. Archer’s Gambit is more fun and can provide more rapid kills against spread-out targets, but Incandescent provides AoE damage while synergising with Solar-related buffs making both very viable options.

Bowstring | High Tension String |
Arrow | Straight Fletching |
Perk 1 | Opening Shot or Offhand Strike |
Perk 2 | Archer’s Gambit |
Masterwork | Draw Time or Accuracy |
Accuracy is key in the Crucible, meaning that High Tension String and Straight Fletching are the best picks for our Bowstring and Arrow. To offset the Draw Speed decrease, players can opt for a Draw Time masterwork, or players can instead lean fully into Accuracy by maxing out the stat by going for an Accuracy masterwork.
Opening Shot or Offhand Strike are the best options in column one. Opening Shot will provide an initial bonus at the start of a fight, but Offhand Strike will help keep the kill chaining going with improved accuracy stats. Perk 2 has a clear winner in Archer’s Gambit as this perk allows you to frag out and chain arrow after arrow, making Bows much better at straight duels, which they are rather weak at.
How to get Hush
Players can obtain Hush from the Gambit playlist and rank-up packages from The Drifter. While playing Gambit games will net you Gambit Engrams, the best thing to do for target-farming Hush is to focus Engrams to decode them into Hush directly.
Focused decoding is possible at the Drifter and will use a couple more engrams than simply just opening the engrams, but they’ll drastically improve your odds of getting a good roll as Hush comes with 12 perks in each perk slot, making the god roll incredibly rare. We cover all Gambit Weapons here.
