One of the first puzzles members of the community try to solve in new raids is always the deepsight chest. While raids are already rewarding as is, having an extra guaranteed red border weapon every week does wonders when seeking weapon patterns.
Today, we’ll cover the puzzle associated with the deepsight chest in Salvation’s Edge. With this guide, you’ll easily be able to receive an extra weapon drop once every week. Let’s begin.
Salvation’s Edge Red Border Chest Guide
The red border puzzle begins at the very start of the raid, in the first enclosed room you come across. At the front of this room are columns of shapes—you’ll need to remember the column third from the left. These shapes correspond to the different resonance buffs found throughout the raid, and each one is linked to a separate hidden room.
In every given run, three of the five rooms will be active, meaning they’ll have a glowing conductor plate that generates resonance. If you come across a room that contains an altar with the prompt “You are found lacking,” that room is inactive and you do not need to do anything in it.
The conductors in each of the three active rooms must receive their corresponding resonance buff for the deepsight chest to spawn. As is denoted in the screenshot, the bottom-most symbol in the third column represents room one, and the top represents room five. So, for instance, if rooms one, four, and five were active in the run screenshotted above, they would require a circle, triangle, and circle resonance, respectively.
Room 1 Location
Room one is at the very beginning of the raid, right when you enter the large open room. After jumping up a bit, you should come across the section pictured here. Follow the arrow to the left and look for a large, well-lit doorway. This directly leads to the first room, which will have a glowing conductor plate if active.
Room 2 Location
Room two is also before the first encounter, although at the end of the jumping puzzle. Continue through until you come across a closed flight of stairs with Fanatics. Right after this, you should see the strange set of stairs pictured here. Jump through to the lower set of stairs, where you’ll find a small hole to room two.
Room 3 Location
Room three is located between the first and second encounters. After ascending the red elevator, you’ll quickly come across large greenish-blue cubes you’ll need to jump across. Keep an eye on the right side wall, which will eventually have a large well-lit gap in it leading to the third room.
Room 4 Location
Room four is between the second and third encounters. After trekking through the large outer scaffolding pictured above, jump to the upper-left platform instead of continuing to the right. Room four will be on the wall opposing the one you came back in from (in the screenshot below, the two Guardians pictured are in the fourth room).
Room 5 Location
Finally, room five is also before the third encounter. Once you reach the inner room with the rotting tree branches, jump up and to the left. Continue jumping up until you find the set of conductor plates, which is the last possible location for the deepsight puzzle.
