Palworld Breeding Calculator: Best Pals to Breed EARLY

by | Feb 27, 2024

As we spend more time in Palworld, it became obvious that breeding Pals is THE endgame right now. While you can technically catch every Pal in the wild, you can get access to top-tier Pals much faster than intended.

While most guides out there will present you the 11,000+ possible breeding combinations and leave it at that, this guide will focus on the best Pals you can breed and tell you how to easily breed them, some of which can be bred at the beginning of your playthrough!

1. How to Breed Pals (EASY mode)

Reading about breeding Pals online may feel like trying to get a Ph.D. in advanced statistics. It seems overly complicated, and it puts off a lot of new players. If you’re looking for an accessible and easy explanation of how breeding in Palworld works, this is it. To breed Pals, all you need is:

  • A Breeding Farm
  • Cake
  • Incubator

Once you have built a Breeding Farm and crafted some Cake, you simply need to assign a female and male Pal to the farm. After a while, they will yield an Egg that can be placed in an Incubator. Let it incubate. And voila, you now have an Anubis you had no business getting this easily!

2. Best Pals to Breed

Breeding Pals is so popular because it gives you access to some of the best Pals in the game early on. You have no business getting any of the following Pals early in your playthrough, as catching them in the wild is considered endgame territory. But thanks to breeding, you can get them easily.

These are the best Pals you should be breeding as soon as possible. For the record, many more Pal combinations could yield any of the following Pals, but we decided to keep things simple and focus on the Pal combos that are the most accessible.

First Pal to Breed: Anubis

Anubis is a level 47 Alpha Boss that is particularly difficult to defeat in an open battle. But, thanks to the magic of breeding, you can take two pretty average and easy-to-capture Pals and get an Anubis’ egg.

With a Handiwork Level 4 and Mining Level 3, Anubis is simply one of the best workers in the entire game. And in case of an invasion, it will be a great asset in defense.

Second Pal to Breed: Faleris

Faleris is one of the fastest flying mounts in Palworld. In fact, outside of Legendary Pals, Faleris is the fastest Palworld mount you can get. Plus, it has Level 3 Kindling and Transport, which will help you bake those cakes faster and transport Ores more efficiently. And did we mention it was fast? On the other hand, you’ll need to reach level 38 to craft its saddle.

Third Pal to Breed: Petallia

While not as intimidating as Anubis or Faleris, Petallia is definitely worth your attention. With a Planting Level 3, this is one of the best Planting Pals you can have in your base.

Plus, it also has Handiwork, Gathering, and Medicine Production!

Fourth Pal to Breed: Lyleen

Petallia is great, but Lyleen is the endgame. With a Planting Level 4, coupled with Gathering, a Lyleen can singlehandedly handle all of your base’s food production! Plus, it happens to be the second-best Pal when it comes to Grass-element combat.

Fifth Pal to Breed: Jormuntide

Jormuntide is one of the strongest Pals in the entire game. In fact, it’s considered the best Water-type Pal for Combat by the entire Palworld community. And unlike most top-tier Pals for Combat, Jormuntide can be easily bred!

Sixth Pal to Breed: Grizzbolt

While not as strong as Jormuntide, Grizzbolt is one of the strongest Electric-type Pals for combat. And as a Pal you can somewhat easily breed, you should absolutely get one too!

Getting the Best Passive Skills through Breeding

If you stop reading and go breed all of the Pals we just recommend, you’ll be in a much better position than most Pal trainers out there. Having said that, you should be aware of one additional side to Pal breeding: Passive Skills.

As you’ve noticed by now, some Pals have excellent Passive Skills while others have terrible Skills. The beauty of Pal breeding, and the reason why most players can’t stop, is that you can pass some of the best Passive Skills to new Pals through breeding.

This means you can breed 10 different Anubis, but depending on its parents (and your luck), its Passive Skills will never be the same.

Hidden Breeding Power

Every Pal has a hidden breeding power ranging from 10 to 1500. When breeding 2 Pals, the resulting baby will be the Pal with the breeding power closest to that average.

Before you go…

If you’re just getting started with breeding and do not know what else to breed, you can definitely get some of the best Palworld mounts too.
