How good is Yesterday’s Question
As a whole, heavy burst hand cannons primarily excel as high-damage PvE options when combined with Lucky Pants. While Yesterday’s Question doesn’t break that mold, it fits into it extremely well.
Yesterday’s Question contains Vorpal Weapon, the perk that made Warden’s Law so popular. Plus, because it has an elemental affinity, it also has great options for buildcrafters (Dragonfly and Voltshot, we’re looking at you).
As for PvP, Yesterday’s Question isn’t too outstanding. This archetype of weapons isn’t used all that much in the first place, and earlier additions to the weapon class (namely, Warden’s Law) have better perks for The Crucible anyway. Overall, Yesterday’s Question is A-Tier in PvE and B-Tier in PvP.

Yesterday’s Question PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Magazine | Extended Mag |
Perk 1 | Rapid Hit or Dragonfly |
Perk 2 | Vorpal Weapon or Voltshot |
Masterwork | Handling |
For PvE, we’ll start with Fluted Barrel, Extended Mag, and a handling masterwork for a nice sweep of stat increases.
Regarding main perks, Rapid Hit and Vorpal Weapon make Yesterday’s Question a DPS monster when combined with Lucky Pants. However, if you’re instead looking for a generic complement for an Arc build, Dragonfly and Voltshot are the way to go.
Yesterday’s Question PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Polygonal Rifling |
Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
Perk 1 | Lone Wolf (also good: Rapid Hit) |
Perk 2 | Eye of the Storm |
Masterwork | Stability |
We’ll start with Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, and a stability masterwork to make Yesterday’s Question as stable as possible.
Lone Wolf is a great passive perk for column one, especially considering it grants stat bonuses even while surrounded by allies. Rapid Hit is also a great choice in this column, primarily if you’re looking for even more stability. As for your final perk, Eye of the Storm is our pick to make Yesterday’s Question more accurate during duels.
How to get Yesterday’s Question
Yesterday’s Question is a Trials of Osiris weapon, meaning it’s tied to playing the mode in some fashion. Saint-14 also offers a curated roll at Rank 10 for Episode: Revenant, containing the perk combo of Rapid Hit and Voltshot.
Additional copies can also be obtained from Saint’s Focused Decoding section, assuming you’ve obtained at least one instance of the weapon previously. We cover all Trials of Osiris Weapons here.
