How good is Scavenger’s Fate
Scavenger’s Fate looks to be one of the best Shotguns available, and some Destiny 2 veterans will spot its likeness to a Forsaken shotgun called Dust Rock Blues (an incredibly notorious weapon at its peak). With perks like Slideshot, Lone Wolf, and Closing Time, Scavenger’s Fate is not one to miss for PvP fans.
Scavenger’s Fate doesn’t offer much in PvE, but there are some exciting casual options with Discord, Destabilizing Rounds, or even options like Surrounded or Vorpal Weapon for damage. Overall, Scavenger’s Fate is S tier in PvP and C Tier in PvE.

Scavenger’s Fate PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Barrel Shroud |
Magazine | Assault Mag |
Perk 1 | Discord or Repulsor Brace |
Perk 2 | Destabilizing Rounds or Surrounded |
Masterwork | Handling |
Barrel Shroud and Assault Mag are the clear choices for the barrel and magazine thanks to the Handling and rounds-per-minute increase they provide, as 65RPM can be pretty low.
For perk 1, Discord is the main pick due to its ammo-refunding properties, but Repulsor Brace is a solid alternative, especially with the recent Void Overshield buffs. In perk slot 2, Destabilizing Rounds is the best pick to make this weapon function as an add-clear style weapon, as there simply aren’t enough damage perks to make this weapon a viable DPS option. However, Surrounded can be taken as an alternative.
Scavenger’s Fate PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |

Barrel | Barrel Shroud |
Magazine | Accurized Rounds |
Perk 1 | Slideshot or Lone Wolf |
Perk 2 | Closing Time |
Masterwork | Range or Handling |
Due to the relatively low handling, Barrel Shroud is ideal to give it a decent boost, but if you feel you need more, a Handling masterwork can be taken over a Range masterwork. However, you cannot skip Accurised Rounds in the magazine column for its increased Range.
For perk 1, Slideshot is the consistent pick, but Lone Wolf can massively help make the weapon feel ‘snappy’ thanks to the ADS speed improvements. In the second perk column, Closing Time is the clear winner because it improves the weapon’s Range, Accuracy, and Handling all improve, and given this is a Special weapon, you’ll most likely always be able to activate Closing Time.
