Destiny 2 Revision Zero: God Rolls, Catalyst & How to get it

by | Mar 11, 2024

Revision Zero is a craftable Exotic pulse rifle that hits hard and has the intrinsic ability to stun Anti-Barrier Champions. While it was unobtainable for a short while, it can now be acquired from the Operation: Seraph’s Shield mission.

Today, we cover how powerful this Exotic pulse rifle is and tell you how to get both the weapon and the catalyst.

How to get Revision Zero this Season

You can acquire the Revision Zero by completing the Operation: Seraph’s Shield on any difficulty setting. Operation: Seraph’s Shield is part of the Exotic Mission Rotator, and with three Missions in rotation, you can farm Seraph’s Shield every three weeks.

Acquiring Revision Zero does require ownership of either the Witch Queen or Season of the Seraph.

Revision Zero is now craftable

In case you missed the Revision Zero the first time around, the weapon can easily be obtained by simply completing Operation: Seraph Shield. Better yet, Revision Zero is now craftable. As explained by Bungie:

  • First completion of the mission on Normal or Legendary difficulty will award the Exotic Deepsight weapon associated with the mission. Extracting or dismantling this Deepsight weapon will grant the pattern.
  • Each completion of the Normal or Legendary version of the Exotic mission will award an intrinsic upgrade that can be used when crafting the Exotic weapon.

How to get the Revision Zero Catalysts

The Revision Zero Catalysts can be acquired by completing Operation: Seraph Shield on Legendary difficulty. Each completion awards a Catalyst upgrade.

These are the four Catalysts available for Revision Zero:

  • Frenzy Refit: Feeding Frenzy
  • Pressurized Refit: Under Pressure
  • Outlaw Refit: Outlaw
  • 4-Timer Refit: Fourth Time’s the Charm

Once acquired, you’ll need several hundreds of weapon kills to unlock the Catalyst. Using typical farming methods such as Shuro Chi or the opening section of Grasp of Avarice will speed things along.

How good is this Revision Zero

Revision Zero features unique Exotic perks that set it apart:

  • Hunter’s Trace: This weapon fires special shield-piercing ammunition. Precision hits grant targeting data. Swapping to the alternate scope loads high-damage rounds based on the amount of targeting data. Strong against Barrier Champions.
  • Moving Target: Increased movement speed and target acquisition when moving while aiming down sights.

With Update 7.0.5, Revision Zero received a strong buff due to the 20% damage increase to Pulse Rifles. It also received increased PvE damage of its Hunter’s Trace rounds by 25% and its Häkke Heavy Burst rounds by 75%.

The combination of these buffs makes Revision Zero a strong competitor for endgame content, such as Grandmaster Nightfalls. Revision Zero is THE Anti-Barrier Champion weapon. With increased damage to Champions, intrinsic Anti-Barrier, and a sniper mode that deals chunky damage, this weapon is an all-around solid option.

A-tier for PvE B-tier for PvP

Revision Zero PvE God rolls

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Break
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk 1: Vorpal Weapon
  • Stock: Fitted Stock
  • Mode: Hakke Light Burst Fire

Revision Zero has the intrinsic capability to stun Anti-barrier Champion units, making it a strong contender for endgame activities where Champions abound. Focusing on Stability and Recoil control will provide the most benefits in such endgame situations. Arrowhead Break and Ricochet Rounds will definitely help you land your shots more consistently.

Vorpal Weapon adds a 20 percent damage increase to mini-bosses and bosses, including Champions. Round this PvE roll off with Fitted Stock and you get a laser beam of an Exotic.

Revision Zero PvP God rolls

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Break
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk 1: Perpetual Motion (also good: Elemental Capacitor, when using a Void or Stasis subclass)
  • Stock: Fitted Stock
  • Mode: Hakke Light Burst Fire

For PvP, recoil control is key on this hard-hitting Pulse Rifle. Arrowhead Break adds its full +30 to the Recoil control helping keep its strong bursts central when engaged. Pairing this with Ricochet Round’s bonus to Stability and Range helps Revision Zero keep its shots consistently on target.

As Revision Zero is craftable, there is room for maneuvering. Perpetual Motion is a solid choice because of its benefits when engaged and strafing. Round this off with Fitted Stock which improves Stability and Recoil. Such a roll will give you the most controllable version of Revision Zero when engaged in PvP.
