How good is Noxious Vetiver
While Noxious Vetiver does contain some interesting perk combinations, it’s hard to recommend farming for it. But why?
In PvE, Noxious Vetiver does have some solid options, but it has tons of competition through the numerous SMGs with Voltshot. That said, Jolting Feedback is arguably a stronger version of Voltshot, removing the kill requirement entirely. This makes Noxious Vetiver a competitive option for any Arc builds you have in mind.
As for The Crucible, Noxious Vetiver is pretty weak. With nearly no redeemable perk combinations, there’s really no reason to equip this weapon in PvP whatsoever. Noxious Vetiver is A-Tier in PvE and C-Tier in PvP.

Noxious Vetiver PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Magazine | Flared Magwell |
Perk 1 | Loose Change (also good: Attrition Orbs) |
Perk 2 | Jolting Feedback (also good: Frenzy) |
Masterwork | Handling |
We’ll start with a pretty basic set of barrel, magazine, and masterwork choices: Fluted Barrel, Flared Magwell, and a handling masterwork.
From there, Loose Change and Jolting Feedback is a surprisingly good combo for those looking to build into Arc a little bit. While Voltshot will continue to reign supreme when featured on other SMGs, this combination isn’t a horrible substitute.
The other route to consider here is more of a raw power option, utilizing Attrition Orbs and Frenzy. From a damage bonus to additional stat bumps to even Orbs of Power, this roll grants nearly everything you could ever want for general gameplay.
Noxious Vetiver PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Smallbore |
Magazine | Accurized Rounds |
Perk 1 | To The Pain |
Perk 2 | Target Lock |
Masterwork | Range or Stability |
To start our PvP roll, we’ll look for Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, and a range masterwork (which can be replaced with stability if desired).
To The Pain is the best option for our first main perk, granting some extra aim assist. Target Lock does well for the final column, offering a ramp-up in damage as well. However, both of these perks realistically aren’t that great in the current sandbox, making this an overall weak pick.
How to get Noxious Vetiver
Noxious Vetiver comes from all Episode: Revenant activities, including Act 2’s Tomb of Elders. You can acquire this weapon by:
- Completing Revenant activities, including Onslaught: Salvation and Prison of Elders
- Utilizing tonics available at the H.E.L.M
- Increasing your Seasonal reputation
While it can’t be crafted, using Tonics available from Eido in The Last City increases Vetiver’s drop chance as well, allowing you to have more chances at earning the roll you want. We cover all Revenant Weapons here.
