How good is Exuviae

In terms of PvE, 120 RPM Hand Cannons are slightly out performed by their 140 Counterparts due to the slower rate of fire, and the overall perk pool for PvE isn’t the best.

In terms of PvP, 120s are in a very good position right now. The weapon has very strong perk options and is very well rounded in terms of its stat package.

The Exuviae hand cannon can roll with the following perks:

• Perk 1: Rimestealer, Triple Tap, To The Pain, Encore, Lone Wolf, Stats for All, Keep Away.
• Perk 2: Headstone, Precision Instrument, Desperate Measures, Frenzy, Redirection, Explosive Payload, One For All.
• Origin Trait: Dark Ether Reaper

We recommend Fluted Barrel due to the increase in Stability and Handling. We also recommend Flared Magwell for the increase in Stability while also providing a boost to reload speed, which is a common pain point among 120 RPM Hand Cannons.

The weapon perk pool for this weapon is slightly lackluster in terms of PvE however, the perks shown have good synergy in terms of increasing the players survivability. Critical kills will activate Headstone, creating a stasis crystal that the player can destroy which activates Rimestealer, granting Frost Armour and increasing the player’s damage resistance.

The lack of perk options combined with 120s not being desirable in PvE nets Exuviae a C Tier ranking.

We recommend Fluted Barrel again due to the increase in Handling and Stability, which reduces weapon ready time and also increases Flinch Resistance.

Accurized Rounds are also helpful as it boosts the maximum effective range of the weapon from 37.66m to 39.06 when paired with Keep Away, which is quite a noticeable difference.

Keep Away is recommended as it provides the extra range, a reload speed boost, which is always nice for 120s, and also increases the weapon’s accuracy, all while being very easy to keep the perk active. We also recommend Precision Instrument as it allows Exuviae to 2 Headshot 1 Bodyshot at any level of Resilience, while without it can only kill up to T6 Resilience.

With 120s being very good in PvP, a very nice perk pool, and a relatively well-rounded stat package, Exuviae gets an A Tier PvP ranking.

How to get Exuviae

Exuviae is one of many legendary weapons released with Episode 2: Revenant set. You can acquire this weapon by:

• Completing Revenant activities, including Onslaught: Salvation
• Utilizing tonics available at the H.E.L.M
• Increasing your Seasonal reputation

Much like previous seasons/episodes, there are vendor upgrades that increase your chances of a roll with double perks, as well as the ability to attune to a specific one.
