How good is Embraced Identity
Embraced Identity is a Void Sniper Rifle, which is a weapon type that sorely needs some additions as there are no popular ‘swap rotation’ options in this niche, as the most popular option is Father Sins, which is a pretty subpar option. However, this weapon comes with some solid perks meaning it might be the new option for players looking to have a good swap weapon, while also having the liberty of a solid backup DPS weapon.
The perk combination of Rewind Rounds and Fourth Time’s the Charm is a very popular combo, and it is available on Embraced Identity, meaning it can be used as a brilliant backup damage option for those that don’t yet have their hands on Supremacy, while also matching elemental surges with powerful damage weapons like Edge Transit.
In PvP, Embraced Identity comes with some solid options like Opening Shot and Moving Target. The lack of Snapshot Sights will hurt it, but it will still be a viable option, and if it has good stats and a good ‘feel’ to the weapon, PvP fans will undoubtedly like it.

Embraced Identity PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Magazine | Appended Mag |
Perk 1 | Rewind Rounds (also good: Reconstruction) |
Perk 2 | Fourth Time’s The Charm or Precision Instrument |
Masterwork | Handling |
As always, Handling is vital on PvE Special Weapons, so we are opting for Fluted Barrel and a Handling Masterwork here. Appended Mag is also a nice pick as it provides a neat magazine size boost, meaning if you opt for Precision Instrument, you might get more shots out of Rewind Rounds.
Rewind Rounds is a given in column one, but Reconstruction is a good alternative. For perk 2, the choice depends on the situation. Rewind Rounds and Fourth Time’s The Charm will provide a ton of total damage, but Precision Instrument might be a more valuable pick in terms of a swap rotation in order to squeeze as much damage out as possible. It also might be more efficient at taking down tanky enemies.
Embraced Identity PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Magazine | Steady Rounds |
Perk 1 | Opening Shot |
Perk 2 | Moving Target (also good: Elemental Capacitor) |
Masterwork | Stability or Handling |
Handling and Stability is the name of the game on PvP Snipers, meaning Fluted Barrel, Steady Rounds, and a Stability or Handling Masterwork will be the best bets for your Barrel, Magazine, and Masterwork slot, respectively.
Opening Shot is easily the best perk in the first column, with basically no competition. Some players may try use Demolitionist for high Grenade uptime, but Opening Shot will be much better. Moving Target is the most flexible perk in slot 2, but Elemental Capacitor could see some use on an Arc, Void, or Stasis subclass due to the Handling, Stability, or improved ADS move speed, respectively.
