In this guide, we’ll cover all Timelost weapons available today (including their PVP and PVE god rolls) and show you how to farm them.

Best Destiny 2 Timelost weapons: Tier list
This table covers all Adept Timelost weapons currently in the game. It starts with the S Tier weapons and moves down from there. It also covers both PVE and PVP, with the “Excels in” column clearly identifying where each weapon shines:
Name | Weapons | Type | Archetype | Ammo | Element | Requirements | Available? | Rank | Source | Obtainable? | Tier rank | Source ❘ DLC | Final Verdict | Released | Perks |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Fatebringer | Fatebringer | Hand Cannon | Adaptive | Primary | Kinetic | Free-to-Play | Yes | S › Best | Vault of Glass Raid | Best ❘ S Excels in: PVE + PVP | Vault of Glass Raid Free-to-Play | Slot: PVE God Roll: Explosive Payload + Firefly PVP God Roll: Killing Wind + Opening Shot ► One of the most iconic legendary weapons in the game, Fatebringer comes with insane stats and great perks. While it does have some competition, namely Eyasluna, this almost-perfect Hand Cannon holds its ground as an all-time community favorite. | Season 14 | Slot: PVE God Roll: Explosive Payload + Firefly PVP God Roll: Killing Wind + Opening Shot |
|
Corrective Measure | Corrective Measure | Machine Gun | Adaptive | Heavy | Void | Free-to-Play | Yes | S › Best | Vault of Glass Raid | Best ❘ S Excels in: PVE + PVP | Vault of Glass Raid Free-to-Play | Slot: PVE God Roll: Rewind Rounds (also good: Subsistence) + One for All (also good: Firefly) ► Whereas Commemoration was made to shine in PVP, Corrective Measure was clearly conceived to shine in PVE. On top of the excellent base stats one should expect from a raid weapon, Corrective Measure also features best-in-class perks. With Rewind Rounds and Firefly, this could be the best ad clear legendary machine gun in the entire game. | Season 14 | Slot: PVE God Roll: Rewind Rounds (also good: Subsistence) + One for All (also good: Firefly) |
|
Praedyth's Revenge | Praedyth's Revenge | Sniper Rifle | Rapid-Fire | Special | Kinetic | Free-to-Play | Yes | A › Strong | Vault of Glass Raid | Strong ❘ A Excels in: PVE | Vault of Glass Raid Free-to-Play | Slot: PVE God Roll: Rewind Rounds + Firefly (also good: High-Impact Reserves) ► Praedyth's Revenge is one of the best PVE snipers in the entire game. It certainly has the base stats to challenge any other sniper, but even better, it offers excellent PVE-oriented perks that can't be found in any other sniper. Namely, Rewind Rounds and Firefly. | Season 14 | Slot: PVE God Roll: Rewind Rounds + Firefly (also good: High-Impact Reserves) |
|
Vision of Confluence | Vision of Confluence | Scout Rifle | Precision | Primary | Solar | Free-to-Play | Yes | A › Strong | Vault of Glass Raid | Strong ❘ A Excels in: PVE | Vault of Glass Raid Free-to-Play | Slot: PVE God Roll: Rewind Rounds + Firefly (also good: Frenzy) ► Vision of Confluence is an excellent Solar Scout Rifle for endgame PVE content. It too offers good base stats and top-notch perks that help it excel in PVE. For example, It’s one of the only weapons that can roll with Firefly and Rewind Rounds. With such a perk combination, ad clear becomes a breeze. And if the content is harder, Frenzy can be an excellent alternative too. | Season 14 | Slot: PVE God Roll: Rewind Rounds + Firefly (also good: Frenzy) |
|
Hezen Vengeance | Hezen Vengeance | Rocket Launcher | Aggressive | Heavy | Solar | Free-to-Play | Yes | A › Strong | Vault of Glass Raid | Strong ❘ A Excels in: PVE | Vault of Glass Raid Free-to-Play | Slot: PVE God Roll: Overflow + Vorpal Weapon (also good: Lasting Impression) ► Hezen Vengeance, the rocket launcher from the Vault of Glass raid, is an overall great package. It offers good stats and good perks all-around, and that alone makes it a decent reward for a raid. But thanks to one single perk, Overflow, Hezen Vengeance is a unique weapon. The only rocket launcher that can roll with Overflow, it has the potential of having two rockets in the chamber quite often, which translates into insane burst-DPS. | Season 14 | Slot: PVE God Roll: Overflow + Vorpal Weapon (also good: Lasting Impression) |
|
Found Verdict | Found Verdict | Shotgun | Aggressive | Special | Arc | Free-to-Play | Yes | A › Strong | Vault of Glass Raid | Strong ❘ A Excels in: PVP | Vault of Glass Raid Free-to-Play | Slot: PVP God Roll: Surplus (also good: Slideshot) + Opening Shot ► Found Verdict is one of the most sought-after weapons from the Vault of Glass raid.Aggressive shotguns were recently hit hard with nerfs. Not once, but twice. Still, Found Verdict remains the best aggressive shotgun in the game. And with the right perks, it's still an S-tier shotgun to bring to the Crucible. | Season 14 | Slot: PVP God Roll: Surplus (also good: Slideshot) + Opening Shot |
|
Vex Mythoclast | Vex Mythoclast | Fusion Rifle | Exotic | Primary | Solar | Free-to-Play | Yes | B › Average | Vault of Glass Raid | Average ❘ B Excels in: PVE | Vault of Glass Raid Free-to-Play | Slot: Exotic Perk: "This weapon fires a single bolt with each trigger pull. Defeating targets builds stacks of Overcharge. Swap firing modes when fully Overcharged to charge up and fire more powerful linear fusion shots." ► Vex Mythoclast has gone through so many nerfs and buffs during its Destiny 2 lifespan, that it's hard to say how meta it currently is. With that said, Vex Mythoclast is one of the most sought-after Exotics and is a fun addition to any loadout. | Season 14 | Slot: Exotic Perk: "This weapon fires a single bolt with each trigger pull. Defeating targets builds stacks of Overcharge. Swap firing modes when fully Overcharged to charge up and fire more powerful linear fusion shots." |

Destiny 2 Timelost weapons farm: How to get them
Before we go any further…
What are Timelost weapons?
Timelost weapons are exactly the same as Adept weapons. The kind you can find from farming Grandmaster Nightfalls or going flawless in Trials of Osiris.
What are the benefits of Timelost or Adept weapons? They simply offer slightly better stats (via an improved Masterwork) and can use Adept mods, which are superior to normal mods.
Long story short, the term “Timelost” seems unnecessary to me as Bungie could have simply called them Adept…
How to farm Timelost weapons: Weekly Challenges
Timelost weapons are locked behind completing specific weekly challenges that need to be completed in the Master difficulty of the raid. Needless to say, these aren’t easy to farm. But if you put in the effort and find a committed fireteam, Master Vault of Glass challenges are possible.
These are the several challenges available:
- Confluxes challenge: Wait For It…: Sacrificial Wyverns cannot die before beginning to sacrifice at the confluences.
- Oracles challenge: The Only Oracle For You: Players may not destroy the same oracle twice.
- Templar challenge: Out Of Its Way: Defeat Templar without lettim him teleport.
- Gatekeepers challenge: Strangers In Time: The Wyvern and Minotaurs that spawn simultaneously must die within 5 seconds of each other.
- Atheon challenge: Ensemble’s Refrain: Each player may only destroy one Oracle per wave.
Ranking criteria
For the record, as much as we tried to keep the above tier list as objective as possible, it’s still based on our personal experience playing the PC version of the game.
If you’re wondering what criteria was used to build this Tier list, these are the main factors I took into account:
- Lethality: The higher the effective DPS and usability, the higher the ranking.
- Consistency: Some weapons may not have the highest DPS numbers, but they are so consistent, they more than make up for their lower DPS numbers.
- Ease of use: Similar to the point above, some weapons are very effective because they are easy to use and don’t require too much skill or setup. This is also rewarded with higher rankings.
- PVE/PVP Performance: High lethality in either PVE or PVP is equally valuable. However, a weapon that is good at both PVE and PVP should rank higher than one that is slightly better on only PVE or PVP.
- Fun factor: Not the most important factor, but it also helps if the weapon is damn fun to shoot with!
If you strongly disagree with some of the rankings here, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.
By the way, what is your personal favorite Nightfall weapon?
