Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals

Roadmap, core changes and more
By Ric aka Primatrix | Jun 9, 2020

Whether entirely on purpose or not, Bungie created a lot of hype surrounding Destiny 2’s future.

Hype intensified when an official video was accidentally published on Instagram last week. The video was quickly taken down, but as with everything on the internet, once it’s out there, it’s out there.

And things continued to escalate until today, when Bungie finally revealed Season 11, Season of Arrivals, and their next expansion, Beyond Light. Today’s reveal may go down as Bungie’s finest. So much was covered, from this upcoming season to their plans for the next 3 years. If you’re a Destiny fan, I recommend you go watch it right now.

In this article, we’ll focus on Season 11 and cover everything you need to know to be prepared.

Season of Arrival Roadmap

First things first, these are the basics you need to know about Season 11:

  • The season starts today, June 9, and lasts until September 21
  • It costs $9.99

The Season’s main features are neatly presented in Bungie’s official page, but these are the top highlights:

  • New Dungeon (also available for free)
  • New Public Activity (also available for free)
  • Moments of Triumph (also available for free)
  • Solstice of Heroes (also available for free)
  • New Exotic Weapon Quest

This is Season of Arrivals official roadmap:

The main highlight remains Prophecy, the brand-new Dungeon. This a challenging activity that will require you most players to find a good Fireteam and to level up fast before it leaves at the end of the season.

A new destination this Fall: Destiny 2’s Europa

Destiny 2 will take us to a new destination this Fall: Europa, one of Jupiter’s icy moons.

Several leaks have been pointing to Europa as the game’s next destination. After all, we’ve heard about Europa several times before. For example, it was even featured in concept art from Destiny 1 while the game was still in development.
