Hunter Arc builds

Hunter Arc 3.0 featured

Combination Gambler

Excels in: Endgame (Dungeons, Raids, Legend content)

Goal of the Build: Stack up Combination Blow and slay with your Arc abilities while striking from the shadows.

Mandatory  Gear: Assassin’s Cowl. A One-Two Punch shotgun is recommended.

  • Aspects: Lethal Current and Flow State.
  • Fragments: Spark of Resistance, Spark of Feedback, and Spark of Shock.
  • Abilities: Gathering Storm, Gambler’s Dodge, and Combination Blow. Storm Grenades and Pulse Grenades are both strong.
  • Stats Priority: Max Resilience 🡒 Discipline.
  • Mods:
    • Helmet: Hands-On, Heavy Ammo Finder, Dynamo.
    • Arms: x2 Heavy Handed and Impact Induction.
    • Chest: Resistance Mods based on your enemies.
    • Legs: Weapon Surge Mods matching your equipped weapons.
    • Class Item: Powerful Attraction, Bomber, Distribution.

Gameplay Loop

This gameplay loop is relatively simple on the surface. However, as you weave more techniques and abilities into the Melee>Dodge>Melee combo, it becomes slightly more complex.

Stacking Combination Blow to x3 is your main goal. Once you do this, you will be able to 1-punch all squishy enemies and will be able to 1-2 Punch Shotgun all other enemies besides bosses.

Due to the insane number of Orbs of Power you will be making, equipping the Hands On mod will help you generate your Super very quickly, allowing you to rip through minor and major enemies alike.

This build is quite tricky to use, especially for a less experienced player in higher-level content. However, mastering it will allow you to take on practically all types of content, regardless of the difficulty.

Warlock Arc builds

Delicate Tomb Exotic

Blinding Vesper

Excels In: Endgame (Dungeons, Raids, Legend content)

Goal of the Build: Blind and Jolt hordes of enemies through both your rift and weapons, allowing you and your allies to easily control the battlefield.

Mandatory Gear: Vesper of Radius. An Arc Special weapon is recommended (such as Delicate Tomb for casual content or Coldheart for higher-difficulty activities).

  • Aspects: Electrostatic Mind and Arc Soul.
  • Fragments: Spark of Brilliance, Spark of Beacons, Spark of Resistance, and Spark of Volts.
  • Abilities: Chaos Reach, Ball Lightning, Storm Grenade, and Healing Rift.
  • Stats: Max Resilience 🡒 Recovery 🡒 Discipline.
  • Mods:
    • Helmet: Harmonic Siphon, Special Ammo Finder.
    • Arms: Bolstering Detonation, Focusing Strike.
    • Chest: Charged Up.
    • Legs: Elemental Charge, Insulation, Recuperation.
    • Class Item: Distribution, Special Finisher, Powerful Attraction.

Gameplay Loop

To begin the loop of this build, simply place a rift near a group of enemies. This should both blind the enemies (thanks to Vesper of Radius) and grant some rift energy back (from Distribution).

Defeating any of these blinded targets will generate an Ionic Trace, which will then make you amplified. Becoming amplified allows you to then blind even more combatants with your Arc special weapon of choice. Using your other abilities in addition to your weapon will generate more Ionic Traces and ability energy, allowing you to begin the loop again.

If you ever run out of special ammo, you should be making enough Orbs of Power to do special finishers whenever you need them. Also remember that you have additional avenues to synergies as well, like with Arc Soul.

Fallen Sunstar Warlock Exotic

Arc Sunstar

Excels In: Casual & Endgame (Dungeons, Raids, Legend content)

Goal of the Build: Consistently have turrets assisting you and allies on the battlefield, allowing for great ad clear and slightly more boss DPS.

Mandatory Gear: Fallen Sunstar. Coldheart is recommended, but Delicate Tomb can also work.

  • Aspects: Arc Soul and Electrostatic Mind.
  • Fragments: Spark of Magnitude, Spark of Shock, Spark of Beacons, and Spark of Brilliance.
  • Abilities: Storm Grenade, Chaos Reach, Ball Lightning, and Healing Rift.
  • Stats: Recovery 🡒 Resilience 🡒 Discipline.
  • Mods:
    • Helmet: Harmonic Siphon, Ashes to Assets
    • Arms: Firepower, Bolstering Detonation
    • Chest: Charged Up
    • Legs: Elemental Charge, Arc Weapon Surge, Innervation
    • Class Item: Time Dilation, Bomber, Powerful Attraction

Gameplay Loop

Start by placing a rift down to grant you and your allies Arc Souls. Then, simply use the rest of your abilities and shoot everything in sight with your Arc weapon. Any Ionic Traces you collect will grant you and your allies substantial amounts of ability energy and will make you Amplified (buffing your Arc Soul and other abilities).

With that being the only information you need to succeed, this build is simple yet effective. While it may not be the greatest in high-difficulty PVE content (or in anything with a high-health boss), it’s one of our favorite builds to run and has become a community favorite as a result of Arc Soul’s recent buffs.

Titan Arc builds

Titan Arc 3.0 featured

God of Thunder

Excels In: Casual Content (Seasonal Activities, Strikes, etc.)

Goal of the Build: This build aims to turn you into the ultimate ad clearing machine harnessing the power of Arc 3.0 and the Heart of Inmost Light exotic.

Mandatory gear: Heart of Inmost Light.

  • Aspects: Touch of Thunder. The other Aspect is up to you.
  • Fragments: Spark of Magnitude, Spark of Shock, and Spark of Ions.
  • Abilities: Storm Grenades, Rally Barricade or Thruster.
  • Stats: Resilience 🡒 Discipline.
  • Mods: Heart of Inmost Light doesn’t require any mods to excel, but mods that help reduce ability cooldowns help strengthen this build.

Gameplay Loop

This is one of the strongest builds in Destiny with a very simple and easy playstyle. It excels in both solo and team content.

The playstyle of this build revolves around the Heart of Inmost Light and maintaining high ability uptime. Heart of Inmost Light’s exotic perk ‘Overflowing Light’ empowers your abilities when you use one. This increases both the damage and the regeneration of your abilities. This can stack up to 2x for each ability, and the goal is to maintain a 2x stack by using your abilities whenever they are off cooldown.

When Heart of Inmost Light is combined with storm grenades and the required aspects/fragments, you can achieve a 100% uptime on your grenade. These nades are extremely good for both ad clear and damaging bosses. With this aspect, they roam around following enemies, which makes them even more deadly. Any enemies that survive the constant barrage of thunder from the roaming grenades can be easily dealt with using your empowered melee. This results in one of, if not the best ad clearing builds in the game currently.
